Insignia
I wrote about the conception of beauty earlier on this web site in regards to how unique my view of it is from the general populace. This time, I ask the question of how a woman defines herself. By my definition, she is already physically attractive; but there is always more than what meets the eyes. So, this verse is essentially a question that I ask everyone that I find myself initially attracted to. How they not only answer the question, but also feel about it is one of many determinants to how far her and I can go.
Insignia
beauty is your insignia,
so many shall try to define you,
but, now I ask you,
how do you define yourself?
is it by the beauty that resonates,
upon the eyes of bystanders,
or it is the character of a person,
misunderstood and underappreciated,
what is it that intrigues,
fascinates,
interests,
the strangers and the unfamiliar
you and I keep one another company,
until your Knight arrives,
or I discover my Queen,
yet still I wonder
why does there seem to be
an infatuation for the impossible,
a desire for the unattainable,
a dream of ideality,
yet, I digress,
for I know not who you are,
nor what you represent,
so your definition I long to discover,
beauty is your insignia,
many shall try to define you,
so, now I ask you,
how do
you
define yourself?
